The school holds an arts week annually and this year, pupils took part in a variety of arty activities, which were linked to the national curriculum.

Lesley Lawrence, headteacher at the school in Camphill Road, said: "We had four visiting artists helping at the school. The year four children made 3D figures of Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn from card, as they are currently studying what life was like in Tudor times.

“Year three made Roman mosaics from glass and the year six class did some Victorian drawings. The year five class created items of Greek pottery. We continue with normal lessons throughout the week and each class had a day where they focused on different areas of art.

“All the artwork was linked with the curriculum and projects that the classes are currently studying. The week was a great success and we hope to involve the artists again.”
