Meeting over Pyrford sites

The land was suggested after the completion of the council’s consultations on the Local Development Framework core strategy. The meeting, in Pyrford village hall beginning at 7.30pm, is to clarify the current proposals and speakers will include Woking Borough Council’s Nick Griffin and ward councillor Peter Ankers.
Nationally all councils have to produce a framework which describes outline proposals for homes, offices and shops that should be built to meet the requirements of the area.
Cllr Ankers said last week he was concerned that if development was proposed for the site at Randall’s Field and Tegg Lane, the infrastructure of Pyrford would not cope.
Residents now have the chance to have their say on the suggested sites and can make their views known on a representation form.
These are available from the civic offices in Gloucester Square, libraries or on the council’s website at www.woking.gov.uk.
