Visitors enjoyed a host of entertainment including a performance of Byfleet: Kings, Heroes and Villains performed by Woking Community Play Association on Plough Green and in the village hall.
The play was a light-hearted look at some of the characters that have helped to form Byfleet’s history.
New display boards were also on show in the library looking back on the history of Byfleet.
Dancers from the Susan Robinson School of Ballet delighted onlookers with their performance in the village hall.
Secretary of the association Anna Molesworth said: “We wrote the play as a team project and researched the history of Byfleet using a book called Byfleet: A village of England by Leonard Stevens. There were 12 members who performed and some actors doubled up in other roles.
“We did two performances, the first outside on the green and some of the scenes were performed on a trailer that had been lent to us.
“For the second performance we had to move inside as it started to rain. The Anchor Folk Club sung in one performance of the show.
“The play was slightly similar to another show we did recently, which was for Woking Association of Voluntary Services.
“We had to research their archives for ideas for the play to commemorate their centenary.”
“Everyone enjoyed performing and the day was well attended.”
