Aborigine Francis Firebrace and didgeridoo player Philip Jackson entertained Pyrford Primary pupils

Francis spoke to the children about the culture of the Aborigines before they took part in a variety of art workshops. Didgeridoo player Philip Jackson entertained the children with his musical skills.
Headteacher Irene Smith said: “We decided to do One World Week because we wanted to give the children an opportunity to learn more about the world around them.
“The school has quite a few themed weeks but I can say this one was easily one of the most successful.
“The school hall was filled with more than 400 children and 200 mums and dads during the One World Week event when parents donated different foods from around the world for everyone to try. There was a great atmosphere in the hall and it was lovely that everyone was involved.”
In the fun-filled week pupils also participated in drum workshops and dressed in traditional costumes
