Children from Pyrford Primary School skipping the light fantastic with their new ropes

A skipping coach worked with a selected group of children who presented a demonstration to the whole school later in the day.
More than 45 pupils attended a skipping workshop after school.
Since then the activity has taken over as a favourite pastime for playtimes and lunch breaks in the playground.
 Physical education co-ordinator Carolyn Edis said: “It is great to see the children having fun while keeping fit.”
On the day the children were photographed, they were in mufti to raise money for Unicef. The children were asked to give £1 to the charity to go to school in their own clothes and £380 was  raised for Unicef by the end of the day
