New target for borough’s home building plan

This will include a share in the residential areas of Byfleet, West Byfleet and Pyrford, where growth is expected to continue.
The figure is equivalent to around 240 new homes every year, down from the 280 units currently being constructed annually on the back of a booming housing market.
On September 13, Surrey County Council published its recommendations for the location of Surrey’s housing allocation
A six-week consultation is now underway.
The total number of homes has been divided into the county’s boroughs and districts based on their individual housing need, land availability and affordable housing requirements.
Residents can have their say at a  public meeting being held in Woking today at HG Wells from 10.30am.
Leaflets are also being distributed to libraries across the county and a website is being designed
