The senior pupils traditionally produce a leavers’ assembly each year before the end of the summer term, when they perform in front of parents, Stoop Court residents and the rest of the school.
The children, aged six and seven, sang a selection of songs from The Sound of Music and regaled the audience with favourite memories of their time at the school and what they were looking forward to at their next school.
They performed the assembly twice, once to the whole school and Stoop Court residents and again to parents and the headteacher of West Byfleet Junior School, Lesley Lawrence.
The school’s IT manager, Greg Oates, gave a digital presentation of images of the children throughout their time at the school.
Headteacher Shirley James said: “It went really well and was very successful.
“The children had beautiful voices and I can see many of them going on to join the choir at their future schools.
“The residents of Stoop Court stayed on afterwards for coffee and biscuits and said how much they enjoyed the assembly. They have been a really good year group and the parents have been very supportive.”
Each child was given a dictionary as a leaving present to take with them to their next school
