Anne aims for £1,000 on Moonwalk

Anne will be taking part in the Moonwalk in London on June 18 to raise money for Walk the Walk.
Anne, who lives in Braeside, will participate in the 26-mile power-walking event with 15,000 other entrants.
Anne said: “I am doing this in memory of my auntie Bridie who sadly died of this cruel disease.
“This is the second time I have taken part in this very important and personal charity event.
“I have been training hard to cover the 26 miles. I have been walking around the surrounding areas — Ottershaw, Woking, Laleham, Staines, Windsor, Guildford,  Chobham, Walton and Hampton Court with a group of friends.”
Anne has been training in Dorset and took part in a
17-mile walk from Lytchett Matravers to Swanage.
“It was a lovely sunny day and we even managed to get a suntan,” said Anne.
“It was an enjoyable walk  with beautiful scenery and glimpses of the occasional steam train on the local preserved railway.”
Anne has so far raised £850 and wants to raise at least another £150.
Anyone who can help with sponsorship should call Anne on 01932 346998 or e-mail moonwalk@brianbourne.demon.co.uk
