Brooklands goes all Italia

Organised in conjunction with motoring magazine Auto Italia, the Brooklands site was carpeted with every marque of Italian car from diminutive Fiat 500s to sleek and powerful Ferraris.
The Lamborghinis, Ferraris and Maseratis and the much rarer Iso Grifos made a spectacular display and many were parked on the famous banked racetrack. Throughout the day spectators were delighted to watch some of the cars ascending the historic Test Hill.
Motorbike participation included the super-powered Ducattis with their rasping exhaust sound.
Any visitor who arrived in an Italian car was entitled to add their car to the display but by 1pm the site was so full that all cars had to be turned away and sent to a public car park.
Due to the popularity of the event there will be an autumn gathering on September 25 and next year’s Auto Italia event will be held on May 7
