Helen’s sticky dilemma
. Helen has created the legs as part of a life-size model of herself made entirely from sticky tape Helen Cunningham, 21, of Amberley Drive, is making the model as part of her portfolio to help her get into Leeds College of Art and Design to do an art foundation course. But she has something of a sticky problem as she has nearly finished the 60 rolls she started with. Helen said: “When completed it will be a 5ft 9 full-scale seated model of myself made entirely from sticky tape. I do not use wire or anything else to support it and I do not use a mould. It is just taped tightly and hammered into shape. So far I have completed the main structure of both legs. “This has taken me about 10 hours and so far the total weight is just over 2kg. I have yet to find a way of weighing the parts effectively due to their awkward shape. It is quite time-consuming but I watch television while I am doing it. The main problem I am experiencing is lack of tape.” Anyone who wishes to help Helen out of her sticky situation can call her on 07810 040554
