The robbery happened at 8.15pm on Saturday March 12 at Coldharbour Road.
A man entered the shop through the front door carrying what is believed to be a ball-bearing (BB) gun.
He went to the counter and ordered the assistant to open the till and £50 was stolen. As he left the shop the raider fired the BB gun at the counter.
He made off on foot past the Co-op store. The robber is white, aged 17 or 18, and about 5ft 11 and skinny.
He possibly had blond hair. He wore a dark hooded top with the hood up, a grey tartan scarf around his face, a baseball cap and dark tracksuit bottoms. He was carrying a dark drawstring bag.
Police are appealing to anyone who saw anything suspicious at the time, in particular anyone near the Co-op.
Anyone with information should call Detective Constable Laura Hendy on 0845 1252222 or Crimestoppers free on 0800 555111
