Midi is a height category in dog agility competitions. Dog agility is the fastest growing dog sport in the UK and is governed by the UK Kennel Club.
Dogs and their handlers must negotiate a course of obstacles under control and within a set course time.
As a result of winning the Midi Dog of the Year 2003, Pip has qualified for a place in the Galloway Midi Agility Challenge final which takes place at Manchester in June.
Nigel owns two other rescue dogs — Bear, aged 11 and Zico, 2.
Bear achieved the Agility Eye Southern Region Veteran Dog of the Year 2003 and qualified for the Any Breed except Collie (ABC) national final, also in Manchester in June.
Zico also qualified for the ABC national final — an impressive achievement as dogs are not allowed to compete until they are aged 18 months and Zico is only two.
Nigel said: “I would like to thank my club, Chobham and Scrambles Agility, and my sponsor, Eukanuba.
