There was much excitement and creativity in the air as the children engaged in a range of hands-on science and design and technology activities.
Reception children learnt about science through a topic on pirates and year one had fun making electrical lighthouses. Year four created life-size newspaper skeletons and children from year six launched rockets.
The children were set challenges such as designing and making a catapult to launch an object the furthest distance.
On Wednesday the pupils took part in an energy efficiency session led by education staff from EDF Energy,  which had been designed to fit in with the Science National Curriculum.

The children built cardboard houses and learnt about insulation and the importance of turning off lights and other electrical equipment in an effort to conserve energy and protect the environment.
Key Stage Two leader at Pyrford Primary School, Jacky Bowen said: “It was fantastic to see the whole school getting mad about science.
“Who knows, maybe this week has inspired some of our children to go on to become engineers and scientists of the future.
